Finding What's Essential...
Dr. Noah K. Goldstein, DACM L.Ac.
Here we are.
Enjoying the beautiful October sunlight in Boulder, CO. Embracing the magic of the changing colors. Pulling out warmer clothes and feeling their embrace, much like the hug of a friend we haven’t seen in some time.
Along with these joyful autumnal pleasures, we can’t ignore the subtle melancholy that comes along with such a stark awareness of the passage of time. We mark this season, with holidays and festivities, which create space to feel all the feels. To celebrate the spring and summer, and to reflect on what and how we’ve been doing in life.
In the Fall, we are invited to prune away the excesses of our lives and to focus on what is essential.
What is essential? What matters most?
Questions for each of us to answer on our own.
Our health?
Peace of mind (or perhaps a mind full of Peace)?
Being closed to our loved ones?
Safety?
Freedom?
So far, this fall, It’s been difficult for us to carve out time for this process. We’ve been pulled in many directions - the mundane dishes and laundry, work and exciting new projects, and the big and little things that are part of being family. Sometimes we make the choice to watch a movie (Yesterday was a lighthearted and kitchy) because we need a night off.
We’re figuring out when and where and how to do it all right along with everyone else.
If you need a moment and you want someone to hold space for you, to help you work through it, to support you in staying accountable to yourself, we are here.
If you’re trying to figure out what’s essential to you now and you want to let your body reconnect to itself and to its own essence, we are here.
Whether it’s in conversation, or through movement, or laying down on a warm and cozy table with magical acupuncture points bringing you home, we are here.
And if your body is feeling bogged down, and you want to help it detox and cleanse. If you want to help get your lymph moving better, and to assist your liver and kidneys and lungs in clearing all the things that have been accumulating that you don’t need, we invite you to join Mitten’s Detox.
Mitten Lowe is a dear friend, Wellness Coach, and healer. The cleanse she offers is gentle, which we like, and is designed to create lasting change. Doing a cleanse is guided way can be really helpful, because you get personalized support. Mitten is offering 15% off of the cleanse to everyone in the Heartseed Community and you can learn more here.
Noah is offering 20% off two “bookend” treatments to anyone doing the cleanse (one treatment at the beginning and one at the end). The pre-cleanse treatment will get your body in a good place for cleansing and detoxing. It will boost your immune system and get your detoxification systems primed and ready. At the end of the cleanse you'll receive a nourishing and rejuvenating session to help your body gently shift back to life-after-cleanse. If you’d like a 30 minute consult to see if this is right for you, just let us know.
We hope you’re enjoying the fall, whether you’re in Boulder, CO or somewhere else.
And we hope you enjoy dancing to this week’s playlist on iTunes or Spotify.
