Back to Work: In-Person Acupuncture Now a Possibility
Dr. Noah K. Goldstein, DACM L.Ac.
I'm excited to let you know that I'm back to offering acupuncture as of today, June 1st! You can schedule an appointment via email.
It's been quite the experience to take a forced pause from work, surprisingly, an incredible gift. That said, I am very excited to get back to supporting you. I'm looking forward to watching people leave the office in less pain, feeling calmer, rejuvenated, and back to themselves.
Given the complexities and all the unknowns that have come with this global pandemic, I am also here to support regulating your nervous system, addressing root causes of anxiety and fear and moving those feelings through, and to give you a much needed and well earned break from the intensity that exists in our current environment.
That said, I am taking precautions to ensure everyone's safety. I believe there are safety measures we can employ that will ensure our ongoing health and prevent COVID transmission.
Our current procedures are as follows:
Everyone is required to wear a mask.
Please wait in your vehicle until your appointment time (as opposed to waiting in the greenhouse or in our office).
For the time being, we will not have tea service available, but we look forward to bringing that back when we can.
There will be an extra fifteen minute buffer between appointments for a disinfecting protocol.
I will be running a HEPA air purifier in the room.
All payments and rescheduling will be done online either through Square invoicing, PayPal, or Venmo.
If you are sick and/or have any COVID symptoms (fever, cough, headaches, shortness of breath, change in taste or smell...) please refrain from scheduling an appointment and/or cancel your appointment. Likewise, if you've been in contact with anyone who's been sick (or suspected to be sick), please wait for treatment. I am happy to put together herbal formulas for pick-up under the circumstances.
Please be sure to do lots of hand-washing/hand-sanitizing etc.
Take care of yourself :-)
If you don't feel comfortable coming into the office quite yet, I completely understand a believe we all need to be following our intellect and our intuition around what's right, safe, and comfortable for each of us.
How do you know when it's time to come back in for acupuncture?
Well, maybe you've been eagerly waiting for this email, that would say a lot. But likely, thanks to our profound adaptability, you've gotten somewhat used to whatever your current normal is. That may mean that you're not paying much attention to the low-level ache in your neck and shoulders because you've forgotten what it's like to live without it. Or maybe the headaches that you stopped getting are starting up again or your energy is really lagging.
Do a little body scan, where do you feel tightness or tension? What would you rate it on a scale of 1-10? Does that merit some relief? Sometimes even small things nagging us in the background take their toll.
As always, If you have any questions please let me know.
In case you're wondering, Rachael is continuing to offer psychotherapy services via Zoom for the time being. And, we're excited to let you know that we're going to be bringing back our weekly playlists and newsletters, so keep your eyes peeled.
