Sometimes We Just Don't Know
Dr. Noah K. Goldstein, DACM L.Ac.
Sometimes we just don’t know.
The information doesn’t line up (or there isn’t enough).
The intuition is offline and garbled.
We can’t find the answers,
or maybe a definitive answer doesn’t exist.
Confusion muddles our minds.
Sometimes it’s out of our hands.
We’re waiting on someone else.
It’s something we don’t have control over.
It’s already happened.
Sometimes.
All we can do
Is yield to the mystery.
To sit in the dark.
Not knowing.
It’s uncomfortable.
Unsettling.
We get caught up in trying to “solve” things.
Or watch our minds
Flutter like a bird trapped in a cage
Trying to break free.
It’s November.
Darkness continues to emerge
Teaching us
With its coyote ways
to howl at the moon.
